Why Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton never wear this colour. Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are two of the most photographed women in the world. From designer dresses to chic high street looks, we have seen them wear everything.
However, while Meghan is not afraid of a daring hemline and Kate loves a yellow dress, there is one colour that the duo steer clear of.
And that is the colour orange, according to Harper’s Bazaar.
While you may be quick to assume it is down to royal rules, there could be a very simple reason for it.
Angela Wright, author of The Beginner’s Guide to Color Psychology, told InStyle that “Orange is all about the secondary survival, food, warmth, shelter, physical comfort, sensuality, spontaneity. A lot of people don’t like it because it’s a bit scary,”
“It’s a very sexy color, sensual, but negatively, it doesn’t have any thought. It can be very thoughtless and heedless and immature, and just generally unthinking and irresponsible.”
Another theory is that orange is a hard colour to pull off.
Style expert Daisy Schubert told the Express: ““If my suspicion is correct, [Kate] would look dreadful in orange and does well to avoid it. Having a cool, blue undertone means that the orange colour pigments would clash with her natural features. You’d only see the dress, not her!”
