Naomi Campbell responds to Kendall Jenner’s modelling comments. Kendall Jenner is no stranger to hot water, particularly over her modelling career.
Last month, Kendall made some controversial comments about the model industry, saying she’s more ‘selective’ about the jobs she takes.
Needless to say, some people in the industry were not happy, calling out Kendall for her ‘tone-deaf’ and ‘privileged’ comments.
They argued that, unlike Kendall (who already has a significant amount of wealth to her name), other models do not have the luxury of being picky with the work they do.
Well now supermodel legend, Naomi Campbell, has been asked for her take on the incident and her response says everything.
As part of a recent interview with Andy Cohen, Naomi answered some fan questions, including one referring to the specific incident.
“@PeterTheMeteor wants to know your views on Kendall Jenner being the highest paid model whilst saying she cherry picks her jobs and could never do 30 shows in season,” Andy reads.
With a slight smirk, Naomi looks deadpan into the camera and says ‘Next question.’
And while she didn’t specifically answer the question, her expression speaks volumes.
To refresh your memory, Kendall told Love Magazine: “Since the beginning we’ve been super selective about what shows I would do.”
“I was never one of those girls who would do like 30 shows a season or whatever the f–k those girls do. More power to ’em.”
Following the backlash, she defended herself in a series of tweets, saying her words were taking out of contexts.
“It was intended to be entirely complimentary but unfortunately, my words were twisted & taken out of context,” Kendall wrote on Twitter. “I want to be clear. The respect that I have for my peers is immeasurable!”
