Why Stella McCartney is a fan of Kate Moss and Kaia Gerber. British fashion designer, Stella McCartney has revealed why she chose models, Kaia Gerber and Kate Moss to represent her iconic fashion brand, Stella McCartney for her 2019 collection.

The 47-year old London fashion designer who is daughter to Beatles music legend, Sir Paul McCartney, believes both Kate and Kaia both have a “true connection” with women and that they represent females across the generations.

Stella recently showcased her latest fashion collection at her spring/summer 2019 show and chose Croydon model, Kate Moss and American model, Kaia Gerber, who is daughter to 80’s Supermodel, Cindy Crawford, to front her collection because they represent the women of today.

Chatting to leading fashion magazine, Vogue in the UK, Stella said: “I have a true connection with these women. For this season, I wanted to capture the wonder of women: the circle of life and the love of learning from those that inspire and came before us and are in the now. We represent women of any age.”

Kate is no stranger to working with McCartney as this is her seventh time being the face of the Stella McCartney fashion label with fellow model, Kaia’s taking part for the first time.

Talking about the actual shoot itself, McCartney said : “There was so much energy at the shoot! Kate and Kaia’s bold beauty really shine in these images … and our effortless relationships – how we choose to support one another over time – come through.”

The latest Stella McCartney collection consists of fashion goods complied with the use of environmentally friendly materials that include recycled cotton, denim and sustainable viscose.
