Zendaya is Lancôme’s newest global brand ambassador. Lancôme has added Zendaya to its stellar line-up of brand ambassadors, alongside the likes of Lupita Nyong’o, Julia Roberts, Taylor Hill and Penelop Cruz.

This is Zendaya’s second big makeup contract – her first was when she became the face of Covergirl when she was just 19.

Speaking about her excitement over joining the Lancôme team, the Greatest Showman star said: “It’s a huge honour to be able to represent a brand like Lancôme and join such an incredible line-up of iconic women,”

Lancôme’s international president, Françoise Lehmann, said: “We look forward to a joyous future with Zendaya, whose charisma, influence in film, music and fashion is undoubted. Zendaya brings a youthful and a unique approach to beauty that perfectly complements Lancôme’s vision and creativity,”

Nyong’o also expressed her excitement over the partnership, sharing a picture of herself and Zendaya alongside brand ambassador Taylor Hill.

The brand made the announcement Thursday night at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles, with Zendaya telling the crowd: “”I’m so absolutely honored and humbled to be here, especially amongst so many incredible, incredible women.”

“Just to know that I’m standing next to them, and get to be a part of this incredible brand I’ve known of since I was a little girl to be a symbol of elegance and class.”

Explaining why she wanted to join the Lancôme family, she said it feels like the right time for her in her life and career, saying: “This just kind of felt like a natural fit because going into my adulthood and becoming a woman, I guess you could say, [I’m] stepping into this new phase in my life and my career and this felt like the perfect place to do that. You know, where I could take that next step and elevate in that way, so it’s very exciting and it’s crazy.”

She said she’s always loved Lancôme’s ‘signature style’ and ‘quality products’, which include her favourite mascara, Hypnôse Custom Volume Mascara.

She said: “Mascara is a very special thing. Everyone has their own favorite mascara and that one works,”
