Actress Sondra Locke dies at the age of 74. American actress and Hollywood legend, star Sondra Locke has died. Reports coming out of the US claim that the “Planet of the Apes” actress has passed away on the 3rd November 2018.
Celebrity on-line website, Radar Online are reporting that Sondra died due to breast and bone cancer and has already been laid to rest Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park & Mortuary in California.
The website have also said this has been confirmed by The Los Angeles County Public Health Department who said that the “Sudden Impact” actress passed away peacefully last Monday 3rd December 2018.
Locke was a long-term partner Hollywood actor, Clint Eastwood who she dated for 13 years and starred alongside him in six of his moves back in the 70’s and 80’s.
According to Radar Online, after the couple split there was a major falling out over money and she sued Eastwood for fraud and palimony payments.
She also filed a legal case against Hollywood film production company Warner Bros. for “allegedly” collaborating with the ‘Dirty Harry” star and accused them both of sabotaging her career. All court cases were settled out of court.
Sondra’s rise to stardom started when she first appeared in the 1968 film ‘The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter’, where she starred alongside actor, Alan Arkin.
She later developed a loving relationship with Eastwood after she appeared alongside him in the 1976 motion picture ‘The Outlaw Josey Wales’, which Clint also directed.
Sondra was born in Tennessee in the US on May 28th 1944. Her latest film role was back in 2017 in a romantic drama movie called ‘Ray Meets Helen’, in which she played the female lead opposite Keith Carradine.
Locke published her own autobiography titled ‘The Good, the Bad, and the Very Ugly- A Hollywood Journey’ back in 1997, seven years after undergoing a double mastectomy.
