David Beckham may be first soccer star in space. Soccer legend and fashion model, David Beckham wants to be the first footballer to be launched into space according to, The Sun newspaper.

The Ex-Manchester United and Real Madrid star is reportedly in talks to ensure that he is the first soccer star on the planet to experience space travel.

The 43-year old soccer star who is married to Fashion designer and ex-Spice Girl member, Victoria Beckham is keen to be blasted into space with the news that Space flight companies, like Virgin Galactic, are looking for well-known celebrities to endorse their flight plans and Becks is believed to be involved because of a potential sponsorship deal to promote their services.

According to the British tabloid, David as well as his children are mulling the idea over with a source close to the Beckham’s telling the newspaper that there aren’t many things David hasn’t done, but this would be on another level, although Becks has admitted privately he’s very nervous about it.”

Back in May 2005, while David playing for Spanish soccer club, Real Madrid, he was asked by Spanish radio station Onda Cero if he would ever fancy a trip to into space with the ex- England captain admitting it would be “an experience” if he ever got the opportunity to do so.

David has four children, Brooklyn (19) Romeo, (16) Cruz (13) and daughter, Harper (7). The Beckham brand has huge global puling power with him promoting many worldwide brands in the past including work for fashion company, Calvin Klein and Adidas.

Even today the Essex born star has lots of companies looking on his services to promote their brands. It’s now a wait and see if David will be over the moon with any potential space travel opportunity that comes his way!
