Full list of Oscar nominees 2019. The nominations for the 91st Academy Awards were announced yesterday in LA with the star-studded ceremony to take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on February 24th.

It looks like The Favourite and Bohemian Rhapsody have taken the lead in some of the ceremony’s most prestigous categories with Olivia Coleman up for Best Actress for her role in The Favourite while her co-star Rachel Weisz up for Best Supporting Actress.

The movie is also up for Best Picture alongside Bohemian Rhapsody.

Speaking last month, Olivia, who will soon be seen as Queen Elizabeth in season 3 of The Crown, confessed she would love to win a gong, but insists she won’t be getting caught up in award fever, saying: “If I’m really honest, I’ve always dreamed of holding an Oscar…

“But I’m really trying to sort of keep everything in check, keep calm. This is silly. What are the chances? I don’t want to get excited. I don’t want to face that disappointment. I just want to be on an even keel. I’m a mum, a wife, I’m a mate. I’m other things. You can see how people get sort of swept into it and I want to stay sane.”

A Star Is Born’s Lady Gaga grabbed two nominations and will be taking on six-time nominee Glenn Close.

The film also earned an acting nod for Bradley Cooper, who was not nominated for Best Director.
