Katie Price denies drink-driving charge. Katie Price has pleaded not guilty to drink-driving after she allegedly crashed her £75k Range Rover into a parked car whilst being twice over the limit.
The former glamour model was arrested in the early hours of 10th October last year following her ex-boyfriend’s birthday party.
She is alleged to have 69 micrograms of alcohol of 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mg per 100ml.
Today, wearing a fur coat and oversized glasses, the 40-year-old was all smiles as she arrived at court to deny being drunk behind the wheel.
She initially refused to give her address in court, but District Judge Nigel Dean hit out at Price for demanding special treatment, denied her request and scolded her by saying ‘all defendants are treated equally’.
After pleading not guilty, the mother of five now faces trial over the offense and could be giving an automatic ban if found guilty.
Prosecutor Kate Seal confirmed the issues in the case are whether Price was driving in Shooters Hill, Woolwich, at the time of the incident.
It’s said there is CCTV from a block of flats that may have captured some of the incident.
Price has been granted bail until her next appearance at Bexley Magistrates’ Court on 25th February.
