RTE’s Caitríona Perry pregnant with first child. RTE’s Six One presenter Caitríona Perry has revealed that she is expecting her first child.

The former Washington correspondent told her followers on social media that she was expecting some ‘news’ of her own later this year.

Addressing all of the ‘eagle-eyed’ Six One viewers who had been in touch , she tweeted: “To all the eagle-eyed @rtenews #SixOne viewers who have been in touch…you are correct! I am expecting some ‘news’ of my own later this year.

The 38-year-old was soon flooded with congratulations and well wishes with one saying: “Ah ….. That is fantastic news Caitriona.. Thrilled for both of you !!”

While another added: “Congrats Caitriona, absolutely delighted for you. Full disclosure, spotted even before Young Scientists Exhibition.”

Someone else commented: “Huge congrats Caitriona such wonderful news you will make an amazing Mummy xx”

And Perry’s Six One co-presenter Keelin Shanley also her congratulations: “We’re all delighted Caitriona – v exciting.”

Perry has presented the Six One along with Shanley since January 2018.
