The best setting powders for oily skin. The right setting powder can make your skin look as smooth as porcelain and is an essential part of anyone’s makeup routine. It seals in your makeup and provides a base on which to apply products like blush, bronzer and highlighter. The wrong setting powder, on the other hand, can look cakey and feel heavy on the skin. Unfortunately for us with oily skin, we have the additional task of finding a setting powder that keeps us from looking (and feeling) like a greasy mess all day. But fortunately for my fellow people with oily skin, I’ve put together the best setting powders for our skin type.
Maybelline Matte Maker Pressed Powder €5.99
This powder blends seamlessly onto the skin and minimises the look of pores. It’s completely buildable yet doesn’t look cakey and keeps your skin shine free for hours with minimal touch ups.
Clinique – ‘Stay Matte’ pressed powder € 31.00
Ok so a bit of a splurge, I know, but it is worth it. Although lightweight, this powder sets your foundation to a lovely matte finish and does not feel heavy on your skin.
Bourjois Java Rice Powder €12.00
This powder gives a nice luminosity to the skin without looking too shiny. Less is more when it comes to this product, so you don’t need to use too much to get a good finish.
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder €5.99
If I had to choose one of my favourite powders, Rimmel’s Stay Matte is definitely one of them. It’s a great price. It provides great coverage. It sets your foundation all day. It keeps your skin looking matte for up to five hours. Apply with a damp beauty sponge and it looks just like skin.
Cover FX Matte Setting Powder €30.00
Beloved by makeup artists and beauty bloggers everywhere, this picture-perfect powder locks in your foundation and contour and makes sure your base stays intact all day.
