Beyoncé buys Ivy Park fashion line from Sir Philip Green. American singer, Beyoncé has bought out her Ivy Park clothing line from leading British retailer Sir Philip Green, which now means she owns 100 percent of the fashion collection.

The 37-year-old beauty first launched her active-wear clothing brand over two years ago in collaboration with the UK fashion retailer, Sir Philip Green who owns several leading clothing store such as Dorothy Perkins, Wallis and Topshop.

However, she has now bought out his share of the company to hold 100 percent of Ivy Park herself. Fashion brand, Ivy Park said in a statement: “After discussions of almost a year, [Beyoncé’s] Parkwood has acquired 100 percent of the Ivy Park brand.”

The brand revealed Green’s Arcadia businesses will still fulfil existing orders to Ivy Park, but no financial details were disclosed. Ivy Park was launched back in 2016, and sells sports themed clothing items such as hoodies and leggings, which are marketed as athleisure clothes.

The brand was named after the ‘Crazy In Love’ singers six-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, who she shares with record producer hubby, Jay-Z, with whom she now also has 16-month-old twins Rumi and Sir.

For Phillip Green, the news comes at a time when he battling allegations of harassment and bullying, which emerged last month after he was accused of obtaining an injunction against a news outlet to stop them publishing allegations of misconduct made by five employees. He has denied the allegations, saying any remarks had been “banter”, and has insisted “there was never any intent to be offensive”.

In a statement released by the 66 year old billionaire, he said: “I’m very, very upset. I’m being used as target practice. It’s injuring my business, all the people potentially working in the business, and it’s injuring me and my family. “There has obviously from time to time been some banter and a bit of humour, but as far as I’m concerned there was never any intent to be offensive.

“If anything I’ve said has caused offence, I’m happy to apologise. Nothing I’ve said was ever meant to be offensive.”
