Ellie Goulding scoops F4D Eco Award for fashion. UK singer, Ellie Goulding has been rewarded for continued commitment to eco-friendly fashion as she was named winner of the Fashion 4 Development 2018 Eco Fashion Award given to people who show a real passion and commitment towards sustainable fashion.
The 32 year old singer from Hereford, attended the prestigious awards organised by the Fashion 4 Development’s First Ladies Luncheon in the Pierre Hotel, New York City last Tuesday. Elle attended the event wearing three quarter length black dress that was designed by Canadian fashion designer Edeline Lee. Her outfit was completed with the latest black footwear from London fashion designer, Stella McCartney.
Taking to Instagram the singer posted “Such an honour and privilege to meet such inspiring and bada*s women today. I will always use my platform to encourage others to be a steward of the beautiful planet we are all lucky enough to be on. Therefore, I will always be a huge supporter of sustainable fashion.”
The event was hosted by American actor, Aldis Hodge with Colin Firth’s wife, Livia Firth introducing The Commonwealth Fashion Exchange runway show. Fashion 4 Development’s Annual First Ladies Luncheon is held during the week of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
It celebrates the unprecedented co-operation between diplomacy and fashion for the greater good of women and children across the globe.
Other winners on the night included actress Amber Heard, serial investor and philanthropist Carmen Busquets and Same Sky founder Francine LeFrak.
