Kaia Gerber is the new face of YSL Beauté. She’s already walked some of the most prestigious runways of Fashion Month but now Kaia Gerber has a brand-new accomplishment to add to her belt: being named the new face of YSL Beauté.

The 17-year-old daughter of Cindy Crawford was unveiled as the new face of the brand early on Monday (01-10-2018), with YSL releasing a series of portraits of the model.

Speaking about her new venture, Kaia said: “To be the new face of YSL Beauté is an opportunity to write a new story full of fun, color and makeup. “I love the DNA of a brand that is so subversive, while being so luxurious and cool.”

About why they chose Gerber to represent the brand, international general manager of YSL Beauté at L’Oreal Stephan Bezy has this to say.

“Kaia is a blossoming talent with a unique sense of style and a stunning beauty. The perfect embodiment of her generation’s desire for authenticity and edginess, as a muse and ambassador she will convey those values, which entirely resonate with what YSL Beauté stands for.”

This January, Gerber will star as the face of the Rouge Volupté Shine lipstick in a David Sims-lensed shoot.

After that, we’ll see her rocking the Touche Éclathighlighter pens and the Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils in two more campaigns set to be released later in the year.

Of course, she’s no stranger to the beauty campaign game. Back in 2016, she became the face of Marc Jacobs Beauty when she was just 15, leading to her being the face of the brand’s iconic Daisy perfume.
