Kilkenny Design and WomanKind fashion show in aid of Dublin Rape Crisis Centre. WomanKind who are a network representing Ireland’ s leading business women have teamed up with leading Irish fashion house, Kilkenny Design to host their annual business lunch in aid of the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre.

The best of Irish fashion will be on display at the event that takes place at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dublin on between 12-4pm on the 14th September 2018. Leading figures from the world of business in Ireland are expected to attend this prestigious event that will be hosted by well-known presenter, Claire Byrne.

Speaking about this year’s upcoming event, CEO of the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre, Noeline Blackwell, said, ‘WomanKind is the perfect opportunity to highlight the need for Rape Crisis Centres to support those who are victims of sexual violence and, equally importantly, to recognise that, by their attendance at the lunch, by their donations of goods, services and money, they are firmly calling time on society’s tolerance of sexual harassment and abuse and calling for society to have a conversation where we can all agree that we need to understand and discuss the meaning of consent as it applies to sexual activity.’ She added, ‘it is these funds that enable us to offer invaluable services to victims such as the National 24-Hour Helpline where we take over 1,000 calls a month from survivors of sexual violence and those who support them.’

 

Top Irish stylist, Irene O’Brien will guide the audience through what will be showcase of Kilkenny’s Autumn Winter 2018 collection that will include new fashion lines from the best of Irish fashion designs to include Emma Manley, Natalie B Coleman and Alan Ardiff. Donegal fashion house, Triona design, that specialise in coats, jackets and capes which are all made from 100% lamb’s wool will also be making their highly anticipated debut to Kilkenny.

Following this exciting fashion show, CEO of Kilkenny Marian O’Gorman will partake in a Q&A session with Claire Byrne and Irene O’Brien to discuss how the Kilkenny brand has evolved over the years in what is a highly competitive retail market place and what she anticipates will be the new fashion trends of the coming seasons.

The event will has been put together and co-organised by Irish event management company, Pluto. Tickets for this event are priced at €200 for a table of 10 with all proceeds being donated to the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre.

It’s also important to remember that all organising participants have donated their time to organising this event , free of charge.
